The City of Monterey’s free “Big Little Backyard Bar-B-Que and Entertainment Extravaganza” then follows at 11am until 4:30pm at ​Colton Hall Lawn at Pacific St.

After a recommendation from the California Rodeo’s COVID-19 Response Committee, the Executive Board voted unanimously to postpone the 111th California Rodeo Salinas from July 15-18 to September 23-26, 2021. The Professional Bull Riding will take place Wednesday, September 22nd. “The current COVID-19 situation in Monterey County and the Central Coast and new guidance from state and local governments have led us to believe that postponing our Rodeo is the right thing to do at this time,” said Rodeo President Dave Pedrazzi.
